Purpose

The GKACB Studio Company will be under the artistic leadership of Gelsey Kirkland and Michael Chernov. Our shared vision is to develop an ensemble company capable of realizing diverse and compelling theatrical ideas through specialized, comprehensive training and direction. Drawing on in-house workshops, the company will develop new, innovative dramatic ballets, while at the same time building a repertoire of traditional classical works. We will provide residencies and exciting creative opportunities for gifted choreographers, musicians, designers, and dramaturges. The Studio Company will be comprised of professional dancers and trainees from the GKACB Year-Round Program, as well as guest artists from established ballet companies. Ms. Kirkland's experience in bringing the timeless classics to life as well as working with the greatest choreographers of the 20th century (Tudor, Balanchine, Robbins, Ashton and MacMillian) brings an enlightened perspective to her choice of repertoire, focusing on her passionate belief in storytelling through dance onstage. |

Auditions
Auditions for the Year-Round Training Program and Studio Company can be made during any of the summer intensive audition sites. We also hold auditions throughout the year. Call and make an appointment to take a class to audi
Audition fees:
- $30 for online pre-registration (highly recommended)
- $35 for registration on-site on day of audition (cash or money order only) *price for any in-studio audition not at one of our audition sites
For those unable to attend one of the audition sites, DVD auditions will be accepted. Please click here to download an application form.
