About Programs

You will be trained by some of the world's most acclaimed ballerinas, coaches and master teachers; their wealth of knowledge and experience will be shared with you in the dancing capital of the country. The summer intensive will also serve as your pathway to acceptance into the year-round training program; you will gain insight into the rigors of our comprehensive curriculum and learn what it takes to become an artist.Dormitories and limited scholarships are available. Acceptance into the Summer Intensive is by audition only.

Repertory Workshop:

June 11 - July 13

This is specially designed for advanced students, offering daily classes in Technique and Pointe with afternoons devoted to training in specific repertory varying by the week. Any repertory training offered during this program will not be repeated in the Pre-Professional Program. Examples of the carefully chosen repertory that will be taught are from ballets such as Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadere, and Don Quixote.  


Pre-Professional Program:

July 16 - August 17

Age 12-older     


Junior Program:

June 25 - July 13

Age 9-13 yrs  


Housing Information:

All students requesting dormitory housing will be housed at 1760 3rd Avenue Residence (click here for further information).

Tuition

Repertory Workshop (5 weeks): 

  • $3500 (5 weeks)
  • $3000 (4 weeks)
  • $2300 (3 weeks)
  • $1600 (2 weeks)

2 week minimum for enrollment.

*Students who are enrolled in the Pre-Professional Program will receive a special rate if they also enroll in the Repertory Workshops. 


Junior Dance Program (3 weeks):

  • $2500 (3 weeks)
  • $1800 (2 weeks)
  • $1000 (1 week) 

Pre-Professional Program (5 weeks):

  • $3950 (5 weeks)
  • $2500 (3 weeks)
  • $1800 (2 weeks)

Students may attend for a shorter period, certain restrictions apply: An early-bird price of $2,300 is available if full payment is received by April 1st for any 3-week session of the Junior or Pre-Professional Programs, and March 1st for at least 3 weeks of Repertory Workshops. 


Dormitories:

  • $375 per week

All fees must be paid in full by May 15, 2012.

Enrollment Options

Junior Dance Program - Full 3 Weeks, first week or last two weeks only

Pre-Professional Program - Full Five Weeks, first two weeks, or last three weeks only

Repertory Workshop - Enrollment available for 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks. Preferably attended consecutively. 

*Any other enrollment requests must be approved by Artistic Directors.

An early-bird price of $2,300 is available if full payment is received by April 1st for any 3-week session of the Junior or Pre-Professional Programs, and March 1st for at least 3 weeks of Repertory Workshops.

Auditions

$30 for online pre-registration (highly recommended). $35 for registration on-site on day of audition (cash or money order only). Cut-off for pre-registration is midnight Pacific Standard Time on the Thursday prior to each audition. 

DVD Auditions: For those unable to attend one of the audition sites, video auditions will be accepted.

Auditions for the Summer Intensive, Year-Round Training Program and Studio Company are being held in cities across the country during January and February. Please bring two 5x7” (approx) photographs with you to your audition: one headshot, one full-length dancing shot. Female dancers who are on pointe should also bring pointe shoes.
