2013 Summer Enrollment Options

Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet offers intensive training programs aimed at the full cultural development of the young artist, providing each student with a dynamic range of technical skills, coupled with that elusive quality known as the artist’s “sensitivity of the soul”.  We are committed to developing classical dancers are capable of expressing powerful theatrical ideas in ballet through a rich knowledge of other artistic disciplines, culture and traditions.

You will be trained by some of the world’s most acclaimed ballerinas, coaches and master teachers; their wealth of knowledge and experience will be shared with you in the dance capital of the country.  You will gain insight into the rigors of our comprehensive curriculum and learn just what it takes to become an artist.  The Summer Intensive will also serve as your gateway to acceptance into our Year-Round Program.

Dormitory space is available.

Scholarships

Gelsey Kirkland Academy has a limited number of full and partial scholarships to the 2013 Summer Intensive.  All students are considered for merit based scholarships at time of audition.  There is no applications process.  Gelsey Kirkland Academy will notify scholarship recipients in their acceptance email.

Students attending the Full five weeks or the last 3 weeks of the Pre-Professional program will have a performance opportunity on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Michael Schimmel Center of the Performing Arts at Pace University at 7:30pm.
